Cultured, freshwater and beads

Avoid extended sunlight or heat exposure.

Avoid chlorine or other chemicals as they are extremely harmful to pearls and beads.

Have pearls restrung every two-three years, but if worn frequently you may want to restring your pearls more often.

Have pearls strung on silk, with a knot between each pearl. This will prevent the loss of pearls if the string should break. Our fine jewelry department can have your pearls restrung for you.
Don't
Wear pearls while bathing or swimming: the water will weaken and stretch the threads on which your pearls are strung.

Put on pearls until after applying cosmetics, hair spray and perfume.
       Storage
